So how can you make the most of your trip away? There are many ways, but allow us to tell you about a few of our favorite ones.

Tip 1: Mix With The Locals

The best way to truly embrace the feel, vibe and beauty of any destination you plan to visit, is to get to know the locals. Their personality and general sense of belonging is sure to give you a much truer reflection of the area you are visiting that anything you will read in a tourist guide.

Getting to know the locals is also a great way to find out about amazing spots that are off the beaten track. They are sure to be able to fill you in on a local restaurant, beauty spot or activity that other tourists are completely unaware of. One of our travel mates owns a tree company ( and he really helped us since he made friends with one of the local merchants in Greece, who really knew the area and hooked us up with some trusted local businesses. It helps to network!

Tip 2 – Don’t Be Too Afraid Of Hostels

Deciding to travel Europe means you need to give plenty of thought to where you are going to stay at each destination. Of course, if money is no object feel free to book the local Hilton in each city! However, if you are hoping to travel on a budget, don’t be afraid to check out reputable hostels on your travel route. In Europe, hostels can often provide safe, clean and friendly spots to pass a night of two and of course they certainly wont cost you the earth.

Wherever you plan to visit in Europe, the potential to have an amazing trip is within your reach. Just be sure to get mixing with the locals and choose accommodation that will suit your needs.

One of the first things you’ll want to do is come up with an itinerary. Make a list of all the countries you want to explore and all the sights that you want to see. Don’t worry about being reasonable; just go ahead and plan out your dream trip.

From there, you can work to make those dreams a reality. If you’re traveling to Italy, it may not be too difficult to take a day trip to Spain or Switzerland. If you’re going to be in France, you should try to see Germany as well.

Luxembourg – Fairy-tale Land

With enchanting castles, impressive fortresses and a general feeling of walking into a Disney set, Luxembourg should be a must on any road trip around Europe!

So if you fancy doing something different this year, why not consider an epic road trip around Europe? You’ll be talking about it for years to come!

I Would Love To Travel Europe

If anyone ever said to me that I could have a free holiday, my answer would be that I would like to travel Europe. I have never been in my life, but I have seen so much of it on the television, and read a lot about it. At the grand old age of sixty-one, I have seen much of America, as well as Australia, where I have family. It would be nice to visit such places as the Republic of Ireland and Wales, as I believe these two countries have a lot of ancient castles. I love the mystique of such places.

In fact, the whole of Europe is rich in history dating back thousands of years. One place that is on my bucket list is Stonehenge in the UK. Now that is a place that goes back in time a long way. Of course, I would also visit the usual tourist attractions if I went to that country. Buckingham Palace is a must see, although I doubt I would be lucky enough to see the Queen of England. I would also go to see the Houses of Parliament. Other countries include France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal.

Tips For When Travelling To Europe In The Winter

More and more people from around the world are now visiting Europe. Having lived in the US all of my life, I have made quite a few visits to European capitals. Unlike Arizona where I live, Europe can get very cold during the winter months. Even though there can be some frosty mornings here in Phoenix, it has usually warmed up nicely by the time I go outside.

Whether visiting London, Paris or Berlin, the weather between September and April can be quite volatile. This means that it may be warm enough to wear a t-shirt and shorts one day, and then a few days later it can be freezing cold. It is this kind of problem that plagues visitors who travel to Europe in the winter months.

The way around this is to pack clothes for both warm and cold weather, rather than just taking items for one type. Before leaving, check the internet for the location of clothes stores that sell cheap clothing. This then allows more to be purchased after arrival, and as it is cheap, it will add little to the budget. European winter travel can be so much cheaper than going in the summer.

Greetings and welcome!

Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog about traveling Europe. My name is Sandra, and if I could, I would travel Europe forever.

Having spent the last six months enjoying myself with travel around Europe, I would love life to offer me the chance to do it for my remaining days on this planet. The area is so beautiful, both scenic wise, and culturally. I love Britain because it is so like the US, and yet it is not. It is a strange feeling visiting the place of my ancestors, which is why that country seems so familiar.

It is the rest of Europe which really taught me a lot about the differences on this world of ours. The Fjords of Finland are amazing, there is nothing like them in Alaska. What I do enjoy most about visiting Europe is the food. There is so much on offer. From the fabulous French cuisine, to the pasta meals of Italy. Each local area has its own food, not just the individual countries. If I lived to be a few hundred years old, I doubt I would ever be able to taste them all.

For those who have never visited European countries, then trust me, it is well worth planning a trip there, you will never forget it.

I hope you will enjoy my writings, and that you will gain some good information about this amazing part of the world!
