I Would Love To Travel Europe
If anyone ever said to me that I could have a free holiday, my answer would be that I would like to travel Europe. I have never been in my life, but I have seen so much of it on the television, and read a lot about it. At the grand old age of sixty-one, I have seen much of America, as well as Australia, where I have family. It would be nice to visit such places as the Republic of Ireland and Wales, as I believe these two countries have a lot of ancient castles. I love the mystique of such places.
In fact, the whole of Europe is rich in history dating back thousands of years. One place that is on my bucket list is Stonehenge in the UK. Now that is a place that goes back in time a long way. Of course, I would also visit the usual tourist attractions if I went to that country. Buckingham Palace is a must see, although I doubt I would be lucky enough to see the Queen of England. I would also go to see the Houses of Parliament. Other countries include France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal.
Tips For When Travelling To Europe In The Winter
More and more people from around the world are now visiting Europe. Having lived in the US all of my life, I have made quite a few visits to European capitals. Unlike Arizona where I live, Europe can get very cold during the winter months. Even though there can be some frosty mornings here in Phoenix, it has usually warmed up nicely by the time I go outside.
Whether visiting London, Paris or Berlin, the weather between September and April can be quite volatile. This means that it may be warm enough to wear a t-shirt and shorts one day, and then a few days later it can be freezing cold. It is this kind of problem that plagues visitors who travel to Europe in the winter months.
The way around this is to pack clothes for both warm and cold weather, rather than just taking items for one type. Before leaving, check the internet for the location of clothes stores that sell cheap clothing. This then allows more to be purchased after arrival, and as it is cheap, it will add little to the budget. European winter travel can be so much cheaper than going in the summer.
Greetings and welcome!
Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog about traveling Europe. My name is Sandra, and if I could, I would travel Europe forever.
Having spent the last six months enjoying myself with travel around Europe, I would love life to offer me the chance to do it for my remaining days on this planet. The area is so beautiful, both scenic wise, and culturally. I love Britain because it is so like the US, and yet it is not. It is a strange feeling visiting the place of my ancestors, which is why that country seems so familiar.
It is the rest of Europe which really taught me a lot about the differences on this world of ours. The Fjords of Finland are amazing, there is nothing like them in Alaska. What I do enjoy most about visiting Europe is the food. There is so much on offer. From the fabulous French cuisine, to the pasta meals of Italy. Each local area has its own food, not just the individual countries. If I lived to be a few hundred years old, I doubt I would ever be able to taste them all.
For those who have never visited European countries, then trust me, it is well worth planning a trip there, you will never forget it.
I hope you will enjoy my writings, and that you will gain some good information about this amazing part of the world!
